Waiuku Sharks U10

It didnt start as a good season at all. Everybody was just keen to out do and be better than him.The competitoon amongst his new club team mates Sharks was immence.

As a result Del went for 3 games in a row without scoring. Its not that he wasnt playing well, things were just not coming together.

To make matters worse I had taken pseudo coaching role for him every time he played. That didnt work out well either. So instead I realised If I film the complete game, focus on it and let him be, then we woulf have ample time to go over his mistakes and obviously give him a chance to improve.

That just did the trick.Told Del i was going to be quiet during his match, and asked him to play his game as was also struggling with having his parent coach being always in his ear to just pass the ball. That also totally killed his style of play and clearly the child was not enjoying the game anymore.

So on the 3rd game against Drury Fire he finally got his goal, and that opened a flurry of goals for all the remaining matches, 12 of them.
